Dr. Chloé Beaudin is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario and Ordre des Psychologues du Québec. She provides neurodiversity-affirming care in French and in English to children, adolescents, and adults. She specializes in autism assessments as well as psychotherapy and parenting counselling for high-masking neurodivergent adolescents and adults. She also offers psycho-educational in French to children and adolescents.
Dr. Beaudin creates a safe and welcoming space by seeing the individual behind the “challenges” and “presenting problems”, while adopting evidence-informed practices. She draws from an experiential and strength-based approach and is mainly trained in emotion-focused family therapy. Dr. Beaudin’s therapeutic approach is strongly influenced by her neurodiversity affirming approach and incorporating systemic aspects into her work. She authentically evaluates her client’s strengths and needs to collaboratively develop therapeutic goals and use the client’s environment and personal resources throughout the process.
Dr. Beaudin has experience working with individuals with various needs from behavioural challenges, self-regulation, anxiety, mood dysregulation, self-harm, low self-esteem, interpersonal problems, family conflicts, and life changes for neurodivergent and neurotypical individuals and their caregivers.
Dr. Beaudin completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology (Honours) and her Doctoral (Psy. D.) degree in clinical psychology at Université du Québec en Outaouais. She completed her doctoral internships at the Islington Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in London, UK and at Centre d’appui et de prevention (Le CAP) in Ottawa with franco-ontarian families. Dr. Beaudin’s clinical training has involved work with children, adolescents, families, parents, and adults mostly in community mental health centres, outreach team, and schools.
