Angela Yohan is a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. She offers therapy services to young adults and adults who are experiencing a range of transitional, socioemotional, behavioural, and/or relational concerns impacting their mental health. She also specializes in treating anxiety and mood disorders, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
More than anything, Angela believe the client-therapist relationship is the cornerstone of transformative healing and meaningful impact. Grounded in a person-centered approach, she draws from a number of cognitive-behavioural and emotion-focused therapies. She has training and experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT).
Angela completed Bachelor degrees in Psychology and Social Work at McMaster University, and a Master of Social Work degree at the University of Toronto. She has nearly a decade of experience supporting the health and mental health field, in both community, clinical, and hospital settings. In addition to offering private therapy services, she currently works as a Social Worker and Psychotherapist at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.
